Steep the fruit ,almond extract,glycerine,zest and juices and whiskey overnight \n2. Beat together the sugar ,butter and treacle \n3. Add the eggs 1 by one scraping down the bowl after each addition \n4. Add the flour ,spices and ground almonds and mix until fully combined \n5. Add the steeped fruit and mix together until fully incorporated \n6. Spoon the batter into your 2 lined loaf tins (I use our handy reusable loaf liners )\n7. Bake at 130 fan for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes,until the loaves are firm to touch and a clean knife inserted into the centre of the loaves comes out dry \n8. Leave to cool completely,brush the top and sides with whiskey and double wrap in parchment and tinfoil until you want to decorate bowl ,fold in by hand so no need for an electric mixer 🙌\n\nThis recipe is my muffin recipe and I decided to try it in a loaf tin and it worked ☺️\n\nIt makes a 1 x 2lb loaf and 5 muffins \n\nIngredients \n*************\n450g self raising flour \n225g castor sugar \n225 ml buttermilk \n225g butter (melted and cooled )\n2 large eggs \n1 teaspoon vanilla \n1 teaspoon baking powder \n2 punnets blueberries (I buy them in aldi 150g punnets )\n\nMethod \n*********\nAdd the dry ingredients to a large bowl \n\nMake a well in the centre and add the wet ingredients \n\nFold together gently until fully incorporated \n\nAdd the blueberries and again fold in gently \n\nThis is a thick batter and I use a large spoon to fill it into the loaf tin ,I use an icecream scoop to fill my tulip
